Coming Out, at the Polls

In reply to a Facebook post, remarking how the US Presidential race being this close speaks volumes about Americans, I said the following.

It truly is, and represents a whole new coming out story for America. People coming out on ballot, their votes declaring who they really are. Trump has given these voters a voice, but didn’t create them. Family history created them. Misinformation and ignorance created them. Apathy created them. Trump used the Democratic Party’s real or conceived apathy towards rural White America to activate and convert followers, binding them with his message of White Nationalism branded as MAGA.
