American Referendum

Today I am reminded of quote that is a favorite for a friend, and has become a favorite of mine as well.

“I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.”

For all the evil Anne Frank saw in her short life, she remained steadfast in her belief that it did not define humanity. Humanity is what’s on the ballot today. We vote on this referendum to officially announce to each other and the world, “This is America and its people.”
